Michael Urie is set to host the Drama Desk Awards for the fourth year in a row!
The annual Drama Desk Awards honor outstanding achievement by professional theater artists on Broadway, Off-Broadway and Off-Off Broadway. The Drama Desk Awards are voted on and bestowed by theater critics, journalists, editors, publishers and broadcasters covering theater.
“Michael’s charm, spirited stage presence, and distinctive sense of humor guarantee that this will be an evening of fun and surprises. A Drama Desk recipient himself, Michael is the ideal ambassador for our organization and the Awards, both in the theater community and beyond,” said Drama Desk co-presidents Charles Wright and David Barbour.
This year's Drama Desk Awards will take place on June 2 at the Town Hall. The cut-off for nominations is April 24, 2019. Nominations will be announced April 25, 2019.
