Kiss Me, Kate fans rejoice!
The Broadway revival of the classic show will be getting an original cast recording. That album will begin recording on April 22, 2019 and feature the talents of Kelli O’Hara, Corbin Bleu, Will Chase, and Stephanie Styles. No release date for the album as of yet.
Music and lyrics from the legendary Cole Porter, Kiss Me, Kate made its first Broadway appearance in 1948 and won the first Tony Award forBest Musical in 1949. It ran for more than 1,000 performances.
The new revival is directed by Scott Ellis and choreographed by WarrenCarlyle. Roundabout Theatre Company began preview of the production on February 14, 2019 and official opened up March 14 at Studio 54.
