American Buffalo is returning to Broadway! Emmy & Tony Award winner Laurence Fishburne and Academy Award & Golden Globe winner Sam Rockwell will star in the Broadway revival of David Mamet’s American Buffalo.
Mamet will reunite with director Neil Pepe for the show. Performances will begin March 2020 and the official opening night will be on Tuesday, April 14th, 2020. The location of this performance will be announced soon.
Laurence Fishburne will be returning to the Broadway stage for the first time in 11 years as "Donny" and Sam Rockwell will play "Teach". The producing team is headed by Jeffrey Richards, Steve Traxler, and Stephanie P. McClelland.
The New York Times described the play as, “BRILLIANT! ...[Mamet] has created a deceptively small-scale tragedy that is packed with the power to explode the largest of American myths”
