The 2020 lineup for the Upper East Side's 92nd Street Y has been revealed for the lyrics and lyricists series. This series will honor contributors to the American song book and the celebration will start with honoring Yip Harburg, who took the stage at the first ever Lyrics and Lyricists show back in 1970.
Directed by Matt Kunel, titled Follow the Fellow Who Follows a Dream, it will play January 25-27. Music direction will be provided by Paul Masse and feature a cast that as yet to be announced.
April 18-20 will feature a composer who the event itself is celebrating in Stephen Schwartz. it will be called Stephen Schwartz and Broadway's Next Generation. This will have special guests such as Khiyon Hursey, John Bucchino, Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich.
