Lincoln Center Theater will be opening a new adaptation of Lerner and Loewe's Camelot this fall for Broadway.
Performances for the show begin November 3th with a December 8th opening night at the Vivian Beaumont Theater. The revised version will have a new book by Aaron Sorkin. The show will be based on Alan Jay Lerner's original play while Tony winner, Bartlett Sher will direct.
Based on “The Once and Future King” by T.H. White, Camelot, is a story about the quest for democracy, striving for justice and the tragic struggle between lovers and kingdoms. The original score with lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe is beloved by Broadway goers.
Casting and further creative team will be announced in the coming weeks.
