Jeffrey Richards and Rebecca Gold are co producing a female version of David Mamet's '84 Pulitzer Prize-winning Broadway hit show, Glengarry Glen Ross.
"Mamet OK'd a female version," Richards said. "He's all about the art. He liked the idea. He only said we should keep the characters' same names."
Amy Morton is set to direct the production and further casting details will come together this summer.
According to Broadwayworld.com, The play shows parts of two days in the lives of four desperate Chicago real estate agents who are prepared to engage in any number of unethical, illegal acts from lies and flattery to bribery, threats, intimidation and burglar, to sell undesirable real estate to unwitting prospective buyers. It is based on Mamet's experience having previously worked in a similar office.
