The Broadway musical Bandstand is headed on the road this fall beginning November 1 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Last seen on Braodway in 2017, the musical was nominated for three Tony Awards, winning for Best Choreography. The production was written by Robert Taylor (book and lyrics) and Richard Oberacker (book, lyrics, and music) and directed and choreographed by three-time Tony winner Andy Blankenbuehler.
The original Broadway cast included Laura Osnes and Corey Cott. Bandstand follows the story of Donny, a World War II veteran, trying to return to his life as a songwriter.
Casting for the tour will be announced at a later date. Additional stops on the tour include Wichita, Kansas; Eugene, Oregon; Sarasota, Florida; Sacramento, California; Dallas, Texas; and New Haven, Connecticut. Complete tour dates can be found here.
