The Prom will play its final performance on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at the Longacre Theatre. As previously announced, the National Tour will launch in Providence, Rhode Island in February 2021.
Upon its final performance,The Prom will have played 23 preview and 310 regular performances
Due to high popularity, the musical is set for a Netflix adaptation coming in 2020 and a young adult novel adaptation coming this September. The book will be published on September 10, 2019 with Viking Children’s Books, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers.
