Big news for fans of Little Shop of Horrors! It is making its return to New York City, and getting back to its off-Broadway roots. This fall a new production of the Tony Award winning musical hits the stage with two-time Tony nominee Jonathan Groff in the role of Seymour.
Groff is joined by an amazing cast, featuring Tammy Blanchard, Christian Borle, and directed by Michael Mayer.
The show is produced by Tony Award Winners, Tom Kirdahy, Robert Ahrens, Hunter Arnold, Mickey Liddell, Curt Cronin and John Joseph.
Joining Mayer behind the scenes are Choreographer Ellenore Scott, Scenic Designer Julian Crouch, and Lighting Designer Bradley King.
For those of you who need a refresher, the official synopsis:
Seymour is a down-on-his-luck florist with a crush on his co-worker Audrey. When he discovers a mysterious - and voracious - plant, suddenly Seymour and Audrey are thrust into an epic battle that will determine the fate of the entire human race.
Previews for the show begin September 17th, with an official opening of October 17th at The Westside Theatre.
