Some disappointing news for Broadway in Chicago fans. Once Upon a One More Time is pushing back its start date. Originally thought to be hitting the stage in Chicago this Fall, it now won't be doing so until the Spring of 2020.
The new run dates for the show will be April 14-May 17, 2020 at the James M. Nederlander Theatre. After that it is eyeing a run on Broadway.
According to Playbill, Once Upon a One More Time is a "modern story of a fairy-tale princess" set the the iconic music of Britney Spears. It will feature songs like Stronger, Toxic, and Oops I Did It Again. It is directed by Tony nominee Kristin Hangii. It features and book by Jon Hartmere.
