The 2020 Summer Season for the Williamstown Theatre Festival has officially been announced. This marks the 66th season for the Tony Award-winning theatre company, and it will include four world premiere plays as well as new productions of A Street Car Named Desire, and Photograph 51. The Festival will run June 30 - August 23rd.
A Street Car Named Desire will run on the Main Stage from June 30 -July 19 and will be directed by Obie and NAACP Award winner Robert O'Hara and feature the Emmy, Grammy, and six time Tony Award-winner Audra McDonald. It will also feature Carla Gugino, and Bobby Cannavale.
The Main Stage will continue with Cult of Love, which runs July 22 - August 2 starring Taylor Schilling, Kate Burton, Michael Esper, and more.
The final play of the Main Stage will be Anna Ziegler's Photograph 51. This will be directed by the five-time Tony, Olivier, and Drama Desk Award-winner Susan Stroman.
Other features will be the Nikos Stage which will begin July 1, 2020:
- Wish You Were Here (July 1-12)
- Chonburi International Hotel & Butterfly Club (July 15- 25)
- Row (July 30 - August 9)
- Animals (August 12 - 23)
