The revival of the beloved Stephen Sondheim musical West Side Story opened Thursday, February 20 at the Broadway Theatre. Ivo van Hove’s re-imagining of West Side Story stars Shereen Pimentel as Maria, Isaac Powell as Tony, Yesenia Ayala as Anita, and Amar Ramasar as Bernardo, Amar Ramasar as Bernardo, Jacob Guzmanas Chino, Ahmad Simmons as Diesel, Danny Wolohan as Officer Krupke, Daniel Oreskes as Doc, Thomas Jay Ryan as Lt. Schrank, Pippa Pearthree as Glad Hand, and Kevin Csolak as A-Rab. 33 performers make their Broadway debuts with this production, including Dharon E. Jones as Riff, Matthew Johnson as Baby John, Elijah A. Carter as Action, and Zuri Noelle Ford as Anybodys.
