On this quarantine edition of the Showtune Countdown, Mark Blankenship is joined by Kimber Elayne Sprawl who talks about her role in Girl From The North Country and the musical she's unexpectedly loving during social distancing. Plus, we've got a Broadway surprise from Madonna.
Sprawl talks about audiences coming to see Girl From the North Country when Broadway is back,
"It's going to, I think, be very impactful for people to go through this quarantine and then see our show. Because I've been saying the whole time, they're going through the Great Depression, it's 1934 and these people have nothing and you see what people are made of when they are put in to these perilous condition. But they still have needs and we all just want to love. We want to be loved and understand ourselves and others. We just want to survive and find those little joys. I think when people come to see the show they're going to be effected by it because we all just have to press on and that's what every character in our show is doing."
