Anaïs Mitchell developed the musical with innovative director and Tony Award nominee Rachel Chavkin. Hadestown opened on Broadway on April 17, 2019. The production stars Reeve Carney, André De Shields, Amber Gray, Eva Noblezada, and Patrick Page swith Jewelle Blackman, Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer, and Kay Trinidad as the Fates.
