Award-winning producer Neil Meron joins the Show and Tell With Frank DiLella podcast this week to chat about his upcoming projects and revisits memorable moments from his career. First up, Neil gives listeners an up date on the upcoming Broadway production of Some Like It Hot:
"I think we have the most incredible creative that I could ever have imagined. And between Casey Nicholaw directing and choreographing, Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, who are my old time collaborators, we've collaborated on so many things, doing the score, which is quite wondering - some of their best work. And Matthew Lopez, who wrote The Inheritance, which is one of the best plays of the century, writing the book. It's an amazing creative team and they're all working at the top of their abilities"
Neil goes on to talk about past projects and what it was like working on Chicago (movie), Smash, Jesus Christ Super Star (NBC) and collaborating with Andrew Lloyd Webber, Craig Zadan as well as others.
At the end of their conversation, Frank and Neil also talk about the legacy of Craig Zadan and the important work that continues on in his name through the Educational Theatre Foundation's Craig Zadan Memorial Fund. To learn more, please visit the Educational Theatre Foundation.
