Andrew Lloyd Webber’s team has sent a cease-and-desist letter to Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign over using his Cats song, “Memory.”
According to Page Six the letter was sent by the composer’s UK-based company, Really Useful Group. Last month, original Cats star Betty Buckley urged Webber via Twitter to stop Trump’s team from playing her signature song, “Memory,” at rallies.
Other recording artists such as the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Tom Petty’s estate, Rihanna, and Panic! at the Disco have all objected to their music being played at Trump's rallies as well.
