In a deal that was closed in mid-July, TodayTix has officially acquired Show-Score. As part of that deal Show-Score will retain its own branding and website. Show-Score is a review aggregator for productions in both New York and New Jersey.
The goal of this for TodayTix is to bring Show-Score to more of its audience. TodayTix operates in 17 cities.
Integration of the two companies is expected to begin in September, but with no live theater currently Show-Score likely won't resume operations until that happens. Show-Score Chief Executive Deeksha Gaur will move over with the company.
CEO of TodayTix, Brian Fenty, said that his company was attracted to Show-Score because of the brand loyalty it brings as well as its use of technology.
It also brings together the two companies who have a different audience. BroadwayNews reports that TodayTix attracts a younger New York City demographics while Show-Score has an older demo that lives outside of the TriState area.
The current goal is to make sure that both brands are ready to go once live theater resumes.
