Creator and Executive Producer Austin Winsberg recently joined iHeartRadio Broadway's SJ Arnegger to talk about season two of his hit NBC show Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. Winsberg talked about the pride and excitement he has for Jane Levy earning her first Golden Globe nomination for her role as the title character Zoey and what it's like watching her and his dream cast work everyday on set. Winsberg also talks about working and collaborating with Mandy Moore on each episode and what's it like watching her work with the cast as they bring to life the musical numbers every week.
Winsberg talks about the significance of this week's episodes, as the musical dramedy explores systemic racism in the workplace. With this episode, Winsberg and Moore brought in guest creative artists to mold the story through the lens of the BIPOC characters and ensemble members. The creative minds behind this episode include: story editor Zora Bikangaga, director Anya Adams and gust choreographer Luther Brown. All musical numbers are comprised of song titles from Black artists and include: "Black Man In A White World" by Michael Kiwanuka, "No More Drama" by Mary J. Blige, "The Track Of My Tears" by The Miracles and "Tightrope" by Janelle Monáe
