To mark the release of the Netflix adaptation of tick, tick...Boom!, Lin-Manuel Miranda partnered with five local performing public arts high schools and organizations around the country to celebrate and honor the life and legacy of composer Jonathan Larson. The students from Baltimore School for the Arts, Dallas' Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing & Visual Arts, the Chicago School for the Arts, Lost Angeles Country High School for the Arts and New York's TADA Youth Theatre all performed and produced tick, tick...BOOM!'s finale 'Louder Than Words".
At the start of the video, Lin-Manuel Miranda introduces the students and tells the viewers, "I got my start in my school's performing arts program. These programs are vital, not only to the entertainment industry, but to our culture. It's important for us to celebrate the next generation of actors, singers, and performers. So in the spirit of reaching for the stars and pursing your dreams, we invited schools across the county the celebrate the debut of tick, tick...BOOM! on Netflix. Enjoy!"
