Ricky Rojas and Sophie Carmen-Jones will join Platinum-selling artist Joanna “JoJo” Levesque as Satine, Tony Award® nominee Derek Klena as Christian along with current cast members Eric Anderson as Harold Zidler, André Ward as Toulouse-Lautrec and David Harris as The Duke of Monroth.
Ricky Rojas created the role of Santiago in Moulin Rouge! The Musical first in Boston in 2018 and then for the show’s Broadway premiere in 2019. He made his Broadway debut in 2009 in Burn the Floor. He’s appeared in London’s West End in Sister Act the Musical, Tonight’s the Night: Rod Stewart Musical, Grease, Burn the Floor (Shaftesbury); Flashdance the Musical, Pirates of Penzance, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Adelphi); Fame: The Musical (Aldwych); and The Buddy Holly Story (Novello).
Sophie Carmen-Jones originated the role of Nini in the West End company of Moulin Rouge! The Musical when it premiered in London in 2021. She’s also appeared on London’s West End in Jersey Boys, VivaForever! (original cast), Wicked and We Will Rock You and on tour in the UK as Velma Kelly in Chicago. Her television credits include “One Day” (Netflix), “Dark Money” (BBC), “Cleaning Up” (ITV), “White Gold” (BBC) and “Unforgotten” (ITV). She’s appeared on film in The Little Mermaid, Death on the Nile, Cinderella, Rocketman, Cats, Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast.
