The New York Jets will stick with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, interim coach Jeff Ulbrich confirmed to reporters on Monday (November 25) via the New York Post.

Ulbrich said Rodgers will "absolutely" start in Sunday's (December 1) game against the Seattle Seahawks amid speculation that he could possibly be benched.

"There has not," Ulbrich said when asked if there were discussion about shutting Rodgers down.

Rodgers, who turns 41 next Monday (December 2), is in the midst of one of the worst seasons of his career, going 3-8 in 11 starts while throwing for 2,442 yards, 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions on 241 of 380 passing. The four-time NFL MVP suffered a season-ending Achilles injury during his first drive of the 2023 NFL season and has reportedly dealt with hamstring, knee and ankle injuries since Week 4, but claims to be feeling healthy in recent weeks.

Rodgers was also a full participant during the Jets' last two Wednesday practices, which he hadn't done while injured, though there's speculation that he may be more hurt than he's letting on. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Rodgers has refused getting imaging done on his injuries in order to avoid learning the severity of them and continue playing, which Ulbrich said he was unaware of.

“I have not been informed of that either way,” Ulbrich said via the New York Post. “That’s news to me.”
