'Gypsy: 2024 Broadway Cast Recording' To Be Released On April 25

Warner Music Group’s ARTS MUSIC and OCTOVERSE MEDIA have announced that Gypsy: 2024 Broadway Cast Recording – starring six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald  will be released in streaming and digital formats on Friday, April 25. CD and vinyl editions will follow later this year. Starting Friday, April 11, customers who pre-add or pre-save the album will have access to the first single “Together, Wherever We Go, featuring Audra McDonald, Danny Burstein, and Joy WoodsGypsy is currently being performed in a critically acclaimed new production at the newly renovated Majestic Theatre (245 West 44th Street), which recently celebrated its 100th performance. Gypsy, directed by six-time Tony Award-winning director George C. Gypsy, suggested by the memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee, is Broadway’s ultimate tale of mothers and daughters, ambition and fame, and the lengths we’ll go in pursuit of the American dream. The musical features a book by Tony Award winner Arthur Laurents; music by Tony and Academy Award winner Jule Styne; and lyrics by Tony, Grammy, Academy Award, and Pulitzer Prize winner Stephen Sondheim; choreography by four-time Tony Award nominated Camille A. Brown; music supervision, music direction, and additional orchestrations & arrangements by Andy Einhorn; and additional orchestrations and arrangements by Tony Award winner Daryl Waters.
