Broadway Wishes Come True: Aladdin and iHeartRadio Celebrate World Wish Day

Dreams are taking center stage today! In celebration of World Wish Day, Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway and iHeartRadio are teaming up to grant one magical wish: free tickets to see the hit musical live at the legendary New Amsterdam Theatre.

Fans can enter for a chance to win a pair of tickets by visiting iHeartRadioBroadway.com. The giveaway marks a perfect pairing of World Wish Day’s spirit with the magic of Broadway’s Aladdin, which recently celebrated its dazzling 11th anniversary on stage.

To mark the occasion, Inside Broadway host Christine Nagy sat down with Aladdin stars Adi Roy (Aladdin), Michael James Scott (Genie), and Dennis Stowe (Jafar) for a lively and heartfelt conversation about the show’s enduring joy and the secret ingredient that keeps the magic alive after more than a decade.

"Being able to play a character who literally is love, light, and laughter is a pretty beautiful gift," said Michael James Scott, who originated the role of Genie on Broadway and has played it around the globe. "It’s a gift that I do not take lightly, especially in the world today."

Dennis Stowe, who took over the role of Jafar from Disney legend Jonathan Freeman, shared the fun of leaning into the “dark side” on stage. "You have to make the character deliciously evil," Stowe said. "It’s fun to make people not know why they are drawn to the villain."

For Adi Roy, who grew up performing Aladdin Junior in middle school, the Broadway stage represents the ultimate dream come true. "Almost ten years later, here I am on Broadway, playing the role again," Roy said. "It’s been a wonderful journey so far."

With a timeless message about believing in yourself and reaching for the stars, Aladdin continues to capture hearts night after night. Now, on World Wish Day, one lucky fan's Broadway wish will come true!
